Safeguarding Statement
While We Just Get It LLP does not provide direct therapeutic services to children, our work frequently involves:
• parents and carers of neurodivergent children
• professionals working with children and families
• discussion of family systems, wellbeing, and support needs
We are committed to promoting the safety, wellbeing, and rights of children and vulnerable adults in line with UK safeguarding legislation and professional standards.
Our Safeguarding Approach
We:
• work in accordance with UK safeguarding law and guidance
• adhere to professional ethical standards set by regulatory bodies such as the HCPC and BPS
• recognise the importance of early identification of safeguarding concerns
• take disclosures seriously and respond appropriately
Disclosure and Information Sharing
Confidentiality may be breached where required by law or professional duty, including where there is:
• risk of serious harm to a child or vulnerable adult
• risk of serious harm to an individual or others
• legal or court-ordered disclosure
Where possible, we aim to discuss this with you before taking action.
Sole Trader Services
Individual psychologists operating as sole traders under the We Just Get It umbrella have their own safeguarding responsibilities and procedures. These will be explained as part of their individual terms and conditions when you engage in psychological services.
If you have safeguarding concerns, we encourage you to raise them promptly so appropriate steps can be taken.
